Pakistan’s Supreme Court Justices care more about the views of military establishment, corrupt politicians and other elites than they do about public opinion or masses sentiments. This is true of nearly all form of judiciary and is especially true of swing Justices, who often cast the critical votes in the favor of corrupt military mafia & foul politicians. But why we think this is so and, in so doing, challenge both the dominant political science models of judicial behavior which has a adverse effect to in current scenario with Pakistan’s Supreme Court decision making completely tarnishing widespread public opinion.
So here we are arguing that Supreme Court Justices /Judicial System are not single-minded maximizers of legal or policy preferences. Instead, judicial system seek both to advance favored policies and to win approval from audiences they care about. These audiences should vastly be mass public but on contrary they care more to include elites individuals and power groups from Politicians to Military Elites that have higher political influence & immense muscle power.
And we think “The primary reason is that Supreme Court Justices & Other Higher Courts Justices themselves are social and economic elites. As such they are likely to care a great deal about their reputations among other elites. And now they are crushing the majority of Pakistani Public to fulfill their indigenous masters (Pakistan Army Junta) & Corrupt Political Dynasties Of Pakistan (Sharif’s & Bhutto’s in particular)
